The wait will be over. The Premier League is back! Even though Spain and Germany restart following week and Italy the next week, it also means that my weekly column of betting choices creates its return!
Football bettors rejoice!
For new readers, I place this column every Friday and lay out my three favorite picks across the European football world (of fair value;??I will not consist of anything at the -200 vicinity) and typically outline some information, notes and tendencies that have evolved across the leagues. My focus is generally Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1, but I’ll throw in the occasional Eredivisie or even Liga NOS selections sometime??also.
France’s Ligue 1 starts this weekend as well, but I will use this week’s column to get a trio of Premier League picks.
The Premier League is going to be profound. Yes, we’ve got the big six, however clubs like Everton, Wolves, Leicester, Watford and West Ham could, on paper , put some fear into these bigger clubs and produce the table interesting.
Important to note always: all the time it’s in your best interest to make your bets AFTER beginning XI’s have been announced. These come out about an hour before kickoff, but employees can change everything. Always have a contingency plan or stay away from betting a??game completely when a star??player or two are dropped from the starting lineup.
Do not drive anything and always stay current on player and manager notes and news.
Also, the first few months can be tough. What’s changed within a club over the summer break? Is that new transfer likely to pan out in the Premier League? Who’s this new manager? Occasionally it may be best to wait a few games before you begin gambling so that you are able to find a feel for any particular team.
That is my advice to you personally. Me? I am gonna jump into headfirst this week and I have three Premier League bets all lined up.
Here is hoping we begin with a bang! Let us go!
As always, chances courtesy Bovada.
Wolves, the darlings of a casual Premier League viewer plus lots of a footy bettor looking for an underdog play this past year, start the new campaign on the street at Leicester. Even though the underdog 1X2 cost of +260 seems pretty good, my drama here is going to be OVER 1.0 goal for Wolves at +120.
First things first: they had been always much better against teams that dominated ownership, allowing their opponents”think” they were having their way,??playing”their game” But in fact, anglers were in their best in this specific area and then pouncing on mistakes with a blistering counter-attack that often yielded pretty football and even flatter targets.
This is a huge part of the reason I’ll be backing the Wolves OVER 1 into their opener. Leicester finished eighth in the Premier League in possession last season (50.8percent ) and this should possibly allow anglers to settle back and play with their match.
But another big concern for Leicester is that the fact that their very best center back, Harry Maguire, was sold to Manchester United without a replacement coming from. What exactly does that mean for the center of the backline? Well, most likely, we will watch Jonny Evans and ??aglar S??y??nc?? and while the latter played with some solid minutes every year, I just don’t see them doing enough to maintain Wolves off the plank.
The Foxes won this fixture 2-0 last year, but Wolves got revival in January with a 4-3 goal-fest in the reverse osmosis. I’m not implying we see seven goals in this but??I surely do not view Wolves being kept off the scoresheet. I expect this group to be fraught with confidence to start the season.

Man, did anyone in the Premier League have a worse transport window than Crystal Palace? Additionally, you can make a case that Everton had just one of the top five windows.
Palace will be a disaster this year. They sold assuring young fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka and essentially did nothing with all the money that they got for him. Who did they bring in? Well, it’s a veritable who’s who of boring Premier League players: Jordan Ayew, James McCarthy and Gary Cahill lead the underwhelming collection of incomings.
I am able to talk about how I enjoy the loan??go for midfielder Victor Camarasa from Real Betis, however, it is irrelevant. I like OVER 2.5 at +115 in this one and when I glance at the possible Everton XI, I truly wouldn’t be surprised if the Toffees take care of the number themselves.
Everton could have an attack which includes Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean on Saturday, the latter two coming over from Arsenal and Juventus respectively. That is a pretty good quartet directly there, folks.
Just two of the past four Premier League meetings between these two would have eclipsed 2.5 and this fixture last year generated a drab 0-0 competition but it did yield 22 efforts by the people.
Sure, it is always tricky from the early weeks when it comes to betting, but I will tell you this much: I’ll be seeking to play against Palace at each turn this year and a big reason for this is a lack of center encircle the likes of Maguire. I believe Everton includes a field day here but that I wouldn’t be amazed to see Palace hit the board. So I will take OVER 2.5.

If you read my column onto Premier League Futures Bets, you will notice I like Brighton to have relegated this season. I don’t expect much from this group and I’m gonna try fading them in their mill off to Watford this weekend.
I like Watford a good deal. They have the capability and staff to perform some attractive football and score a few big wins and money wagers with adequate costs attached. Like this place at -110.
The Hornets pile the Center of the pitch into their own 4-2-2-2 creation and boast gifted players such as Troy Deeney, Gerard Deulofeu, Roberto Pereyra and Abdoulaye Doucour??. In addition, they added exciting wide player Isma??la Sarr from Stade Rennais as well as experienced forwards Danny Welbeck. I already liked the installation here but having a potential and also a veteran coming , Watford has really filled out some detail.
Brighton does not really bring much to the table, but did add some intriguing pieces to the mix including Neal Maupay, Leandro Trossard and underrated midfielder Aaron Mooy. Still, I think they are totally outclassed in this , especially at Vicarage Road.
Almost a year ago to this day, Watford won this fixture 2-0 thanks to a brace from Pereyra, that faces a late fitness test when he is to attribute Javi Gracia. Still, I believe the Hornets are in a position to bag a win in front of the home audience and get their season off to some buzzing start.
On this note, I will finish this week’s column.
