Rangers returned to winning ways as they came from behind to conquer, as new signing Ryan Kent limped away with a hamstring injury, but there was cause for concern.
A dominant first-half performance from Rangers, that yielded lots of opportunities but no targets, finished with loanee Kent limping off after pulling up from the Livi half.
The people broke the deadlock from the penalty spot two weeks into the second half, with Steven Lawless firing home after Scott Arfield had tripped in the box Lyndon Dykes.
However, Rangers hit back before targets from Alfredo Morelos via a James Tavernier free-kick at the 55th minute and substitute Brandon Barker – either side of Dykes’ sending-off – wrapped up points.
Rangers had the lion’s share of ownership in the early phases however, it took them 11 minutes to enroll the first shot of the game, while there was a positive play from the hosts.
The relentless home side continued to drive an opener and Sheyi Ojo had a good opportunity in the 23rd minute when he shot the ball around seeing with goalkeeper Ross Stewart but he couldn’t keep it .
And then Rangers replaced by new boy Barker and were dealt a blow at the 41st minute when Kent was unable to last.
Livi produced a dream start to the second half as the referee pointed to this place just more than a second in after Arfield fouled Dykes. And then Lawless scored his third league goal of the year from 12 metres to put Gary Holt’s guys 1-0 up.
But Rangers went in and hit in the 55th minute when the free kick from the left of Tavernier everyone in a box that was crowded.
When Tavernier’s corner was flicked on by Aribo and Morelos headed home from close 32, and then Rangers took the lead.
Livi were reduced to 10 men at the 73rd minute when Dykes was presented with a second yellow card for a foul on Connor Goldson, also Rangers made it 3-1 six minutes later when Barker completed off a fast strike with a nice conclusion to indicate his own league debut with a first goal for the team.
