Though it may seem like one of those conferences for NCAA Football, the Atlantic Coast Conference houses the defending national champion and strength Clemson Tigers. Clemson finished in the ACC last season with an undefeated record and is the overwhelming favourite to win the conference back in 2019.
Online sportsbook BetOnline gets the Tigers in -350??to win the ACC for its fifth consecutive year. After Clemson are the Miami Hurricanes (+750), Virginia Cavaliers (+1600), Florida State Seminoles (+1800) and??Syracuse Orange (+2200) to round out the top five candidates.
It sure seems that way. The Clemson Tigers may have lost three of the four linemen but they still have enough thickness to replace them given??the way in which the team. Maybe it doesnt matter because of their firepower, even if their defense takes a step backwards.
Second-year QB Trevor Lawrence appears the part of a Heisman Trophy Candidate plus they have got studs such as Justyn Ross, Tee Higgins and Travis Etienne to make plays. These four were components during their postseason run when they stomped from the championship match on Alabama. I expect it to be made by this crew back into the College Football Playoff and Contend For The 2019 Title. Its only a pick if they shed and — spoiler alert — they will not although the chances arent great at -350 to win the ACC.
The reason you should not bet to win the conference is that no program outside of Florida State can boast the amount of five star that Clemson has.
Florida State (+1800) has always been in the mix but its??quarterback play because Jameis Winston went into the NFL hasnt been up to snuff. Willie Taggart will be starting James Blackman under center this season and this is his first season as the unquestioned starter.
The Seminoles finished if they perform Clemson on the road 3-5 SU in conference play 2018 and their destiny in the ACC may be decided on October 26. They dont have any opportunity, Should they lose that game.
Miami comes in supporting Clemson about the oddsboard in +750 but I am not very large on Tate Martell or Jarren Williams to haul the Hurricanes. They could possibly win the Coastal Division but would probably fall into Clemson in the closing so I think it is a waste of cash to wager on any group beyond the Tigers to take the ACC.
